Works OK, but slow because of small diameter vacuum tube and even smaller drain tube. Drain tube is also thin walled, making it prone to kinking at top of vacuum tube further slowing water flow. Would be good for smaller tanks but takes a long time to clean a 55 gallon tank. Doesn't look like what it supposed to in the picture It is very small I swear it's barely even usable for a 10 gallon.
Bought this for a deeper tank and needed a long tube. This ended up terrible and useless. Suction seems minimal and does clean debris properly. I tried to use it numerous times, never got it to work good. In order to get initial water flow to start you have to "dip" the tube in the water a few times, which I'm sure makes my fish very cranky.
Pain to get flow started, not a good clean, and even just a simple water change without thorough cleaning takes way too long. I love the gravel guard, my old cleaner would keep getting completely clogged up with gravel, and would have to lift it out of water and restart siphoning many times, this is better.
